Media Advisory: Invite to cover the return of the Trek4Mandela climbers

The Trek4Mandela finally reached Uhuru Peak at midday on Saturday after a gruelling few days of trekking.
The expedition is slowly making their way down the mountain and are expected back at base camp on Sunday. Unfortunately not all the trekkers made it to the summit of the highest peak in Africa at 5985m above sea level.
The Trek4Mandela is one of more than 300 activities around the country to acknowledge, celebrate and advance the legacy of Madiba.
The climbers arrive at OR Tambo International Airport on Monday, 20 July at 19h00. Should you wish to cover their arrive, please RSVP to nkatekom@nelsonmandela.org.
