Political and social activist, former Robben Island prisoner and Anti-Apartheid struggle veteran, Mr Tokyo Sexwale, is leading a global initiative that was unveiled in June in Qatar aimed at addressing the challenges arising from racism and discrimination in all sport globally. Former President Mbeki will launch the worldwide digital call-to-action through Global Watch’s website and a number of social media platforms.
The initiative, named Global Watch: Say No To Racism-Discrimination in all Sport will culminate in an international Summit to be held in November in Johannesburg.
Global Watch is be driven by a strategic partnership namely; The Nelson Mandela Foundation, the Doha Goals Forum Foundation and the Sexwale Foundation.
