The Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of a book by Nelson Mandela’s personal chef.
Ukutya Kwasekhaya: Tastes from Nelson Mandela’s Kitchen is the cookbook of Xoliswa Ndoyiya who has worked with Mr Mandela for more than 18 years, feeding him, his guests and family members.
Ukutya Kwasekhaya, which means “Home Food” in isiXhosa, the home language shared by Ms Ndoyiya and Mr Mandela, contains more than 60 recipes for meals she has cooked for him since before he was elected President of South Africa.
Sis’Xoli, as she is affectionately known, serves up a simple, delicious, nourishing and visually appealing set of recipes for easy to prepare dishes.
