December 4, 2009 – The audio book Nelson Mandela’s Favorite African Folktales has been nominated in the category Best Spoken Word Album For Children for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards.
The audio book, published by Hachette, contains stories chosen by Mr Mandela and read by a number of internationally renowned actors – including Blair Underwood, Oscar-nominated Don Cheadle, and Oscar-winners Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren – with music from South African music legends Johnny Clegg and Vusi Mahlasela.
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will take place on January 31 next year and pays tribute to the best the sound industry has to offer.
