Make every day a Mandela day
On behalf the Chairman, the Board of Trustees and the staff at the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Mandela family, Honourable President Zuma, the South African Government with special mention of the Department of International Relations and related missions, his Excellency the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr Andrew Mlangeni, our sister organisations and donors, members of the media, and corporate and public citizens both locally and internationally for the phenomenal support and action taken for Nelson Mandela International Day 2013.
One man’s vision has indeed inspired a global movement for good.
The action taken by individuals and groups alike shows the reach and impact of our beloved Madiba’s legacy and the difference that can be made in people coming together to drive change.
Key to this day and initiative is to remember, it's in your hands to make every day a Mandela Day.
It is our duty to continue to grow the momentum that you have all already inspired to promote and realise social justice.
