The Nelson Mandela Foundation will host a screening of Shepherds and Butchers on the evening of 10 October.
Produced by Anant Singh and Brian Cox, the film has showcased at some of the worlds most respected festivals. It received third place at the Panorama Audience Award for Fiction Films at the 2016 Berlin Film festival.
The story takes place in 1987 South Africa when Leon, a white 19-year-old prison guard commits an inexplicable act of violence, killing seven black men in a hail of bullets.
A panel discussion on the death penalty will follow the screening will include David Moisi, who was previously on death row and Anant Singh, the producer of Shepherds & Butchers.
