Media invitation for planning purposes only: Poisoned Pasts exhibition
From: Nelson Mandela Foundation
Date: 3 October 2016
You are invited to cover the launch of the new exhibition Poisoned Pasts at the Nelson Mandela Foundation on 6 October at 18:00.
Poisoned Pasts is a joint project with the Institute for Security Studies and aims to provoke questioning about our difficult pasts and to honour the victims of South Africa’s chemical and biological warfare programme.
The Reverend Frank Chikane, himself a victim of the chemical and biological warfare programme, will give the keynote address.
A media preview will be held on 5 October (10:00 to 14:00) for photographic and interview purposes.
Never has it been clearer that the burden of a toxic past will haunt future generations in ways that we cannot anticipate. Yet, how to deal with the past and ensure that it is not repeated, remain troubling questions.
The exhibition will be on display at the Nelson Mandela Foundation until March 2017.
