Masai Ujiri, general manager of Canadian basketball team Toronto Raptors and founder of Giants of Africa, honoured his hero Nelson Mandela by making a gracious donation to the Nelson Mandela Foundation's work at a recent Madiba tribute evening.
The Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ujiri and his team at Giants of Africa for their generosity.
His voice quaking with emotion, the memory of a man he considers his idol about to be honoured by a star-studded array of his friends, Masai Ujiri tried to explain how the legacy of Nelson Mandela can help the world today.
The emotion was raw, the feeling came from the heart.
