Drawing on Madiba launched at the Nelson Mandela Foundation in November 2008. The exhibition comprises cartoons of Nelson Mandela by South African cartoonist Zapiro. It was one of six exhibitions commemorating Mr Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations in 2008.
Drawing on Madiba was transferred to the Apartheid Museum in 2009. It was on display in Iziko Museums’ Slave Lodge in Cape Town to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Mr Mandela, and remained on display until April 2011. It move to the South African Jewish Museum in June 2011.
