Golding, Marcel

Golding was born in 1960. He has been both trade unionist and politician.

He was an office-bearer in the National Union of Mineworkers from 1987 to 1994, becoming deputy general secretary. He was also a leading light in the Congress of South African Trade Unions (COSATU) since its inception in 1986.

Golding joined Hosken Consolidated Investments (Pty) Ltd as Chairman in 1997. He is also chief executive officer of MIDI (TV) Pty Ltd, deputy chairman of Golden Arrow Bus Services and holds directorships in numerous companies e.g. Mettle Limited and Tsogo Sun Holdings (Pty) Ltd.
