1978. Black Urban Areas Consolidation Amendment Act

This made "black persons holding 'Section 10 rights' [see the NATIVES URBAN AREAS CONSOLIDATION ACT of 1945] eligible to register a ninety-nine-year right of leasehold over property in black townships" (Price 1991: 107f). See also the NATIVES URBAN AREAS ACT of 1923 (amended in 1930).
