1969. Public Service Amendment Act

This "provided for the establishment of a highly autonomous Bureau of State Security (BOSS) ... BOSS was empowered to investigate all matters that affected state security" (Riley 1991: 107t). See also the GENERAL LAWS AMENDMENT ACT of 1969.
