1958. Special Criminal Courts Amendment Act

"Under the provisions of the act, the justice minister ordered special courts to be constituted to hear cases involving treason charges or violations of the SUPPRESSION OF COMMUNISM ACT, whenever it was 'in the interests of the administration of justice'. He was further empowered to appoint two or three judges to conduct such a court" (Riley 1991: 59).
