1885. Asiatic Bazaar Law [?]

The purpose of this act was to demarcate specific residence areas for minority groups, especially Malays and Indians. It was later reinforced during the early twentieth century and in particular by the TRANSV AAL ASIA TIC LAND TENURE ACT of 1932 (see Mabin 1992: 409).
